OXFORD, U.K. — November 12, 2020 —

Sophos, a global leader in next-generation cybersecurity, today announced the promotion of Jonathan Bartholomew to vice president, Sales, for United Kingdom and Ireland (UK/I) and Nordics.

With 25 years’ experience in the industry, Bartholomew is well equipped to lead and inspire the sales teams, as well as drive Sophos’ strategy within the region. After joining Sophos in 2009 to manage strategic channel partners across the UK, Bartholomew then successfully took on the role of senior director of channel for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). In this position, he delivered a clear consistent channel programme, along with enabling the EMEA business to be identified as a standout opportunity for partners.

“Cybersecurity continues to be of utmost importance to organizations of all sizes during these very challenging times,” said Bartholomew. “With ransomware a constant threat to organizations of all sizes and most of the global workforce working remotely, there is significant opportunity for partners to align with Sophos to bring the most advanced, next generation security solutions to customers. I am thrilled to be a part of the effort to help partners, particularly as Sophos continues to lead and grow the market with its innovation, technology and approach to synchronized security.”

“Jonathan is an exceptional choice to lead Sophos’ UKI and Nordics regional sales efforts. He has already positively impacted our business in EMEA, and his knowledge of the channel and issues customers face when it comes to security mean he is the ideal executive to oversee sales in these key growth areas,” said Kevin Isaac, senior vice president, Sales, EMEA.
