There are only a few days left to secure the upgrade offers for your Sophos UTM customers and gain extra time to complete their migration.
Sophos UTM reaches end of life on June 30, 2026.
From July 1, 2026, the following will apply:
- Customers with a valid license beyond the EOL date will still be supported, but irrespective of the license expiry date, no support can be offered beyond December 31, 2026.
- All Sophos UTM (SG) SKUs will be deactivated, and term extensions can no longer be processed if included in a quote.
- When a license expires, the related protection features stop working, and the corresponding WebAdmin tab is no longer accessible.
Action required
If you are still supporting Sophos UTM customers, take these three actions before June 30, 2026.
- Submit all refresh orders by June 30, 2026
Submit all orders as early as possible, as quarter-end order volumes will be high and processing may take several days.
All dedicated SG/UTM to XGS promotions will end on June 30, 2026. To secure the “up to 6 months extra term” offer , you must act before that date.- To secure the extra term, you must manually add it as a separate line item on the refresh quote. This offer applies to orders for Xstream Protection only.
- After the promo expires, existing quotes can only be honoured if they remain unchanged. Any change will trigger a recalculation, including changing the quote to Primary.
- Note: A price increase for XGS and related subscriptions is effective from July 1, 2026.
- As the remaining UTM SKUs will be deactivated in early July, active quotes that include a license extension may fail if they are processed too late.
->We plan to put measures in place to ensure that all orders that reach us on or before June 30 can be processed at the current promo terms (provided they are not changed).
Identify customers with expiry dates that extend beyond the EOL
Historically, MyUTM offered somewhat creative ways to generate licenses and extend the term way beyond what could be deemed a standard product lifecycle. If any of your customers previously ordered a very long term, they will still need an upgrade plan.- Irrespective of the license expiry date, no support can be offered for ANY customer beyond December 31, 2026, and protection will begin to degrade after that date.
- If your customer has a license that expires in 2027 or later, work with your Sophos account manager or distributor to put a migration plan in place.
->We will provide further guidance for such cases after the EOL date and plan to contact all affected customers and their partners.
Make sure your customer has a migration and decommission plan
Even if your customer has a valid license extension, use that time to complete the migration rather than waiting until the next deadline. All too often, urgent requests for “just a few more days” reach us when a network or service is about to go down, putting customer environments at risk.- Use the resources linked below to support a successful migration.
- Use the extra time to complete a full audit of the customer environment and create a plan to decommission any hardware and software once it is no longer supported.
- Do not leave migration planning until the last minute. License extension requests will not be approved after the EOL date.
->See the Migration Guide for more detailed information.
Sophos has provided strong migration offers for UTM (SG) customers moving to Sophos Firewall, including extended terms to run both appliances in parallel and attractive discounts on the new firewall, Sophos Email, Sophos Endpoint, and Webserver Protection.
Customers who order their replacement firewall after the EOL will not be eligible for the extended license term or the same discounts.
If you have further questions, contact your Channel Account Manager or distributor.
