Introducing Sophos Firewall Hardware as a Service

A new way for MSPs to deliver Sophos Firewall with no upfront cost and fully recurring revenue

Sophos is pleased to announce the launch of Sophos Firewall Hardware as a Service (HWaaS), a new way for Managed Service Providers to deliver Sophos Firewall and the XGS Series hardware through monthly MSP Flex billing. This new purchase option removes the upfront cost from every firewall deal and aligns hardware with the recurring model MSPs already use to scale their business. MSPs can continue to purchase hardware upfront if preferred, Sophos Firewall HWaaS simply adds a new way to deliver firewall projects through a recurring model. 

Starting July 1, 2026, MSPs can sell and deploy Sophos XGS Series hardware with no upfront purchase, no capital tied up, and no separate motion to manage*.  The hardware now operates in line with the rest of the Sophos MSP Flex portfolio with predictable revenue, recurring billing, and built into how MSPs already work. 

On paper, it is a small shift. In practice, it removes one of the biggest blockers in closing firewall deals.  

The monthly Sophos Firewall HWaaS price includes everything MSPs need to deploy and manage firewall protection:  

  • XGS Series hardware appliance (select models only*)
  • Standard shipping
  • Xstream Protection (MSP Flex subscription)

Orders for Sophos Firewall HWaaS must use the dedicated Sophos Firewall HWaaS SKUs (see price list for details).
