Cisco SD-WAN (formerly Viptela) is an enterprise software-defined WAN solution that provides application-aware routing, centralised policy management, and integrated security services across branch locations. It separates the data plane from the control plane for simplified management of complex WAN environments. 

Cisco SD-WAN generates detailed logs covering traffic flows, application identification, security policy enforcement, tunnel health, and DPI events. These logs provide visibility into WAN traffic patterns and security events across distributed enterprise networks, enabling detection of anomalous traffic and policy violations.
