Trend Micro Deep Discovery Inspector (DDI) is a network traffic analysis appliance that detects advanced threats, zero-day exploits, and targeted attacks by inspecting all network traffic. It uses custom sandboxing, signature-less detection, and behavioural analysis to identify threats that evade traditional security solutions. 

DDI generates detailed alert events for detected threats including malware communications, exploit attempts, lateral movement indicators, and suspicious network behaviours. These high-fidelity detections complement perimeter and endpoint security, providing network-layer threat visibility essential for detecting advanced persistent threats.
