F5 BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM) is an application delivery controller that provides intelligent traffic management, SSL offloading, load balancing, and application acceleration. It distributes client traffic across multiple servers to ensure application availability, performance, and security while providing full visibility into application traffic. 

BIG-IP LTM generates detailed logs about traffic flows, health monitor events, SSL transactions, load balancing decisions, and access policy enforcement. These logs provide security teams with visibility into application access patterns, connection anomalies, and potential threats passing through the application delivery infrastructure, enabling detection of unusual traffic patterns and application-layer attacks.
