Avi Networks WAF (now part of VMware/Broadcom NSX Advanced Load Balancer) is a software-defined web application firewall that provides application security with elastic scale and multi-cloud support. It combines load balancing, application analytics, and web application firewall capabilities in a distributed architecture. 

Avi WAF generates detailed logs covering web request inspection, attack detection, rule violations, and client reputation data. Its distributed architecture provides application-level security analytics and real-time visibility into web traffic patterns, enabling detection and investigation of web application attacks.
