Rashmi Garde
Chief Legal Officer
Rashmi Garde joined Sophos in January 2020 as Chief Legal Officer. She is responsible for overseeing our global legal operations and regulatory affairs.
Rashmi is an accomplished General Counsel with over 20 years’ experience scaling and managing worldwide legal organizations for high-growth private and public software companies. She was previously General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Centrify Corporation, a privately-held security company focused on privileged access management.
Prior to Centrify, Rashmi was General Counsel at Bloomreach, a privately-held SaaS company focused on site search, analytics, and content optimization, and Marin Software, a publicly-traded company providing a SaaS platform for managing and optimizing online advertising spend.
Rashmi was previously Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at VMware, and led the global legal organization as VMware grew from a $20 million startup in 2001 to a global enterprise with over $2 billion of revenue and over 7,000 employees in 2009.
Rashmi began her professional career as a software engineer at Rolm Systems and at Apple Computer. She has a B.A. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a J.D. from the Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley.
