Why create a MySophos account?

If you're a Sophos customer or partner....

you can manage your own email-based account and link to your organization's license details and download credentials, enabling access to all of your licensed products and Sophos resources simply and quickly. Participate in our SophosTalk forums, access whitepapers and web seminars, and access free tools and trials with ease.

If you're just visiting and not yet a Sophos customer....

a MySophos account means you can readily access any of our white papers, web seminars, free trials and free tools, and participate in our SophosTalk forums, without needing to complete a profile form each time you visit us.

In the future, as we add new features to our website, MySophos account holders will be able to personalize their account further, tailoring content to their own personal needs and interests.

Should I register with a business email address or a personal one?

While you may use any email address you own to create your MySophos account, if you are a Sophos customer or partner, your account is typically linked to the licensed products your company has purchased. For this reason, as well as for other security reasons, we strongly encourage the use of your business email address for all users registering for a MySophos account. There is no limit to the number of individuals from your company who can create a MySophos account.

What happens when I log in?

  • If you are a customer or partner and are attempting to download your licensed software

When you access the product downloads area of the website, you will be required to login (if you are not already). Once logged in, if you have not yet associated your product license credentials to your MySophos account, you will be asked to add them. This can be done from your MySophos Account Profile

Your product license credentials can be found on the Sophos License Schedule you received at time of purchase. Once added, you will be able to download your products and access the many free resources on our website. Remember that to install and configure your Sophos software, you will again need to enter the product credentials supplied on the Sophos License Schedule.

  • If you aren't a Sophos customer yet

If you don't own a licensed Sophos product, setting up a MySophos account will not give you access to the product downloads area of the website. However, because your profile details are recorded as part of your MySophos account, you will not need to complete additional forms in order to access white papers, free trials, web seminars and other free resources. How do I change my password?

After logging in, you can change your password via your MySophos Account Profile. If you have forgotten your password, you can request a new one.

How do I remove a user from my company's linked accounts?

If you need to completely remove or unlink a user from your company's account, or set of product license credentials, please contact Customer Service or Contact Us.

I have PureMessage for UNIX. Can I set up a MySophos account to download my software?

  • If you have only PureMessage for UNIX

You can register for and activate your MySophos account, however, you will be unable to add your PureMessage for UNIX product license credentials to your account via your MySophos Account Profile. To associate your PureMessage for UNIX credentials to your MySophos account, please contact Customer Service.

  • If you have multiple products

If you have other Sophos products, in addition to PureMessage for UNIX, you can create a MySophos account and will be able to access your other products via the product download area, as previously described. Access to PureMessage for UNIX downloads will require that you contact Customer Service, as noted above.
