The lists of configured extensions on the filer overrides any extensions configured on the server running Sophos Anti-Virus for NetApp.

What To Do

1. Checking file types

To see which file types are sent to the antivirus server for scanning, at the command prompt on the filer, type:

vscan extensions

2. Adding extensions to the list

To add an extension to this list, type

vscan extensions include add <extension>

where <extension> is the extension you want to add.

For example

vscan extensions include add hta

will add .hta to the list of extensions to be scanned.

Similar steps can be followed to exclude extensions, for example:

vscan extensions exclude add edb

Note: The wildcard ? can be used to match any single character. You cannot use the * wildcard.
