Task for Installation of Sophos Mobile Encryption profile partly fails

When deploying a configuration profile for the Sophos Mobile Encryption app, the task partly fails.
Pressing the magnifier icon next to the task and the details button, the following error is shown

The Sophos Mobile Encryption app was not deployed by the Sophos Mobile Control (SMC) server. Instead, the user downloaded the application from the AppStore. Due to this, the application is not installed as "Managed" app and the profile installation fails.

What To Do

It is not possible to get the app into the "managed" mode after the installation.
Therefore, to successfully deploy the profile, the user first has to uninstall the application from the device.
Once this is done, Sophos Mobile Encryption must be re-deployed via the SMC server.

This way, the app becomes a "managed" app and the profile to configure the application can be transferred.
