When using Application control to 'Block' Google Chrome and 'Authorize' Google Chrome Frame, Google Chrome Frame will be blocked from running.

There is an irrevocable clash between detections of Google Chrome and Google Chrome Frame due to the shared components between the two.

Google Chrome Frame has attributes which are a subset of those used by Google Chrome, so while it is possible for Google Chrome Frame to be 'Blocked' and Google Chrome to be 'Authorized', it is not possible to 'Block' Google Chrome without causing Google Chrome Frame to also be 'Blocked'.

What To Do

If you require the use of Google Chrome Frame you will need to 'Authorize' Google Chrome within the Application control policy.
