When opening the console (local or remote) you see the error:
Cannot open Sophos Enterprise Console
An unexpected error has occurred.
Click the "Advanced" button for information which you can send to
Sophos Technical Support. This information case be used to diagnose and
fix the problem.
Close the console and open it again.
Depending on the exact cause of the issue the message may also include the line:
It was not possible to complete the last operation

There are a number of reasons for the dialog window to be displayed.
What To Do
Select the 'Advanced...' button and note the message.
The message may include a hexadecimal code number (e.g., a number beginning '0x...') and/or a more precise message phrase.
