No SafeGuard Servers are available in the Task Schedulers "SGN Server" list, when creating a new task in the Task Scheduler wizard

When using the SafeGuard Enterprise Management Center to create a new task for Active Directory synchronization, the "SGN Server" drop-down in the list is empty.

The Task Scheduler's drop-down list only shows SafeGuard Enterprise Servers that are configured with the "Scripting allowed" property. If no server is allowed to run scripts, the drop-down box will remain empty.

What To Do

To activate scripting for a SafeGuard Enterprise server, the flag "Scripting allowed" needs to be set for the respective server. Follow the steps below to allow scripting on a SafeGuard Enterprise server:

  • Open the SafeGuard Enterprise Management Center
  • Select Tools | Configuration Package Tool
  • On the Servers tab, select the SafeGuard Enterprise Server that should be able to run scripts and tick the "Scripting allowed" checkbox:

Changes are saved immediately. It is not required to generate a new Server Configuration package.
