What To Do

Exclude the Sophos for Microsoft SharePoint folder from indexing:

  1. Browse to C:\Program Files\Sophos\ in Windows Explorer.
  2. Right-click on the 'Sophos for Microsoft SharePoint' folder and select 'Properties'.
  3. Click the 'Advanced' button and de-select 'For fast file searching allow Indexing Service to index this folder'.
  4. Click OK.
  5. When prompted select 'Yes' to apply these settings to sub-folders and files.
Alternatively, disabling the Indexing Service will resolve the issue.
