How to remove all Sophos Mobile Control related settings and applications from an iOS deivce

This article describes how to remove all the settings and applications configured or distributed by a Sophos Mobile Control server to an iOS device.

What to do

There are different possibilities to remove all settings configured by a Sophos Mobile Control server for a user or administrator

As a Sophos Mobile Control Administrator:

  1. Make sure the device in question is turned on and has a connection to the Internet
  2. Log in to the Sophos Mobile Control web console as an administrator
  3. Within the "Devices" view, search for the device in question and open it
  4. Press the "Actions" button and select the "Unenroll" option
  5. A task will be sent to the device and all settings configured by Sophos Mobile Control will be removed. The Sophos Mobile Control app will remain on the device without any configuration.
    The user has to remove the app manually.

As a Sophos Mobile Control user:

  1. Make sure the device in question is turned on and has a connection to the Internet.
  2. On the mobile device, open the "Sophos Mobile Control" app
  3. Press the "Info" icon in the upper right hand corner
  4. Press the "Unenroll" button
  5. All settings and applications applied or distributed by the Sophos Mobile Control server will be removed. The Sophos Mobile Control app will remain on the device without any configuration.
    It has to be removed manually.
