BOSTON - April 27, 2010 - IT security and data protection firm Sophos announced that it has been recognized as one of the region's 50 fastest-growing private companies by the Boston Business Journal (BBJ). Sophos joins this year's newspaper's Pacesetters list of companies ranked by revenue growth. The company ranked 27 on the list.

Sophos has celebrated more than twenty one years of consecutive growth in revenue. The company continues to diversify its product portfolio while also expanding its corporate footprint and customer traction in the North American market and globally.

"We are pleased to be named to the BBJ's 2010 Pacesetters list," said Mike McGuinness, senior vice president of worldwide sales and field operations at Sophos. "Despite some economic challenges this past year, we continued to grow our business by staying focused on delivering easy to manage security for our customers - giving them broader security for their investment."

Sophos was honored at an awards event at Boston's Westin Copley Place on April 16, 2010 and featured in the newspaper's April special supplement.
