With the release of Sophos Enterprise Console (SEC) 5.2.1 and above the option to select a fixed package has been removed.
Note: If you have upgraded to 5.2.1 or above with fixed packages still in use by a subscription they will be visible in the console until they are no longer used. See article 119240 for more information.
Applies to the following Sophos product(s) and version(s)
Enterprise Console 5.2.1
Why has this functionality been removed?
We have reduced the number of available packages to make management of your software subscriptions easier. A smaller list allows for simple control and better protection.
For more information on the packages available in SEC version 5.2.1 and above see article 119216.
I need access to fixed packages, what can I do?
If you require it, the following steps will allow the use of fixed packages:
- Read the warning about editing the registry
- On the management server open the following registry key:
- (32 bit)
- (64 bit)
- Create a new DWORD value called
- Modify the data value so it is set to 1.
This should be done on all servers running Enterprise Console.
Opening the Subscriptions dialog after setting this key (no other action required) you will see the current list of fixed packages.
