You've tried to deploy Endpoint Security and Control to your endpoint computers from a web folder, but the endpoints haven't installed the software and there are no errors reported.

Known to apply to the following Sophos product and version
Endpoint Security and Control, version 9

What to do

When you deployed Endpoint Security and Control to your endpoint computers, you didn't specify the installation source for the install in the Updating policy. This setting must contain the full path to the installer.

  1. In Enterprise Console, double-click the Updating policy.
  2. On the Initial Install Source tab, deselect 'Use primary server address' and then enter the full path to the installation folder.

The full path can be found in the Bootstrap locations dialog:

  1. In Enterprise Console, from the View menu, select Bootstrap locations.
  2. Find the location for the operating system you are trying to protect and enter that location in the 'Initial Install Source' path.

For example, the initial install source for Windows 2000+ will be: \\ServerName\SophosUpdate\CIDS\Sxxx\savscfxp.
