The Remote Registry service on the endpoint computer needs to be started for the deployment to successfully install the software from the console.

What To Do

  1. Click Start | Run Type: services.msc | Press return.
  2. Browse to the 'Remote Registry' service, right-click on it and select 'Properties'.
  3. Change the 'Startup type' to Automatic, and click 'Apply'.
  4. Press the 'Start' button, click Apply | OK.
  5. Attempt the deployment again.  It should now install correctly.

Note: Instructions in the Sophos endpoint deployment guide explain how to enable this service for multiple computers running in a domain environment.
