Role

Sophos is seeking an HR Specialist to help scale our programs and processes, with special focus on immigration, internal mobility, and international regulatory compliance.

Main Duties

Responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

  • Acts as the primary resource for employees on all aspects of immigration and internal mobility, including visa processes and regulatory requirements/changes
  • Initiate Immigration and Relocation cases with external vendors
  • Evaluates and executes all immigration and relocation requests in partnership with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., HR Business Partners, Recruiting, outside counsel)
  • Partners with leadership to prepare immigration applications and proactively project manages each employee's / candidate's process from end to end
  • Creates and communicates relocation packages, answering questions and anticipating and resolving issues that arise
  • Tracks relocation package disbursement and ensures tax compliance, in partnership with Payroll and Accounting
  • Coordinates external relocation service providers, where appropriate, to ensure exceptional service and seamless relocation of employees
  • Partners with internal teams such as Legal, Accounting and HRBPs to ensure global compliance with policies and procedures
  • Assists the HR Operations team with related project and day-to-day administration on an as-needed basis
  • Monitor changes to employment status, job title, office location and salary and notify appropriate stakeholders
  • Prepare weekly and monthly immigration reports
  • Track employee immigration status in HR systems
  • Distribute immigration documentation to new hires and employees and answer questions
  • Maintain all posting requirements and ensure all Public Files are created, filed and maintained in accordance to regulations

Experience and Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience specifically managing immigration matters and global mobility or related programs

  • Have knowledge of immigration requirements and relocation of employees - specifically an understanding domestic and international relocation, international tax issues, compensation and payroll processes therein

  • Exercise sound judgment and discretion

  • A team player with positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills

  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational, prioritization and multitasking skills

  • Analytical problem solver with experience and proven accomplishments in fast-paced environments
