More Information
W32/Rbot-GLI is a worm for the Windows platform that includes IRC backdoor functionality.
W32/Rbot-GLI runs continuously in the background providing a backdoor service through which a remote user can access the computer.
W32/Rbot-GLI spreads
- to computers vulnerable to common exploits, including: IMAIL Server, ASN.1 (MS04-007) and Symantec (SYM06-010)
- to network shares protected by weak passwords
When first run W32/Rbot-GLI copies itself to <System>\wuauclt11.exe and creates the following registry entries to run on startup:
