W32/Rbot-GKN is a worm with IRC backdoor functionality for the Windows platform.

W32/Rbot-GKN spreads
 - to computers vulnerable to common exploits, including: IMAIL Server, ASN.1 (MS04-007) and Symantec (SYM06-010)
 - to network shares protected by weak passwords

The following patch for the operating system vulnerability exploited by the worm
 can be obtained from the Microsoft website:

W32/Rbot-GKN runs continuously in the background, providing a backdoor server which allows a remote intruder to gain access and control over the computer via IRC channels.

When first run W32/Rbot-GKN copies itself to <System>\wuauclt10.exe.
