W32/Jupir-C is a worm for the Windows platform.

When first run W32/Jupir-C copies itself to:

\Pacman.exe
\tetris.exe
<Windows folder>\conmand.com
<Windows folder>\conmand.exe
<Windows folder>\ini.bat
<Windows system folder>\win.bat
<Windows folder>\system32.com
<Windows folder>\welcome.pif
<Windows folder>\win.bat
<Windows folder>\win.pif

and creates the following files:

\aJumpired_C.txt
\script.ini

The file script.ini attempts to spread the worm over IRC chat. It is detected by Sophos's anti-virus products as mIRC/Simp-Fam.

The following registry entries are created to run conmand.com and win.bat on startup:

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows

W32/Jupir-C also adds the following line to the file C:\autoexec.bat in order to run system32.com on startup:

W32/Jupir-C changes the Start Page for Microsoft Internet Explorer by setting
the registry entry:

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Start Page
