More Information
Troj/Proxy-X is a Trojan for the Windows platform.
Troj/Proxy-X includes functionality to:
- access the internet and communicate with a remote server via HTTP
- download files from the internet and run them
- setup a HTTP proxy to redirect internet traffic
- open TCP port 53
When Troj/Proxy-X is installed it creates the file <Windows>\nerocheck.exe.
The following registry entry is created to run nerocheck.exe on startup:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
