Windows NT/2000/XP/2003
In Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 you will also need to edit the following registry entry. The removal of this entry is optional in Windows 95/98/Me. Please read the warning about editing the registry.
At the taskbar, click Start|Run. Type 'Regedit' and press Return. The registry editor opens.
Before you edit the registry, you should make a backup. On the 'Registry' menu, click 'Export Registry File'. In the 'Export range' panel, click 'All', then save your registry as Backup.
Locate the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE entry:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\
and remove any reference to any file you deleted.
Close the registry editor.
More Information
Troj/Nsys-A is a downloading Trojan for the Windows platform.
When first run Troj/Nsys-A copies itself to the Windows system folder and creates the file <System>\drivers\root\system\versao.dll (harmless).
The following registry entry is created to run Troj/Nsys-A on startup:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
TSystem
<System>\drivers\root\system\<original Trojan filename>
Troj/Nsys-A attempts to download a configuration file from one of several URLs. The downloaded configuration file contains the URL of another file.
Troj/Nsys-A downloads this file, which is currently detected as Troj/Banker-CX, to the <SYSTEM>\drivers\root\system\ folder (with the filename specified in the configuration file). Troj/Nsys-A then creates the following registry entry so that the downloaded file will be run at login:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\
NSystem
<path to downloaded file>
