Solution

MS10-002

Vendor description This security update resolves seven privately reported vulnerabilities and one publicly disclosed vulnerability in Internet Explorer. The more severe vulnerabilities could allow remote code execution if a user views a specially crafted Web page using Internet Explorer. Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less impacted than users who operate with administrative user rights.

Undoubtably the focal point of this release is the fix for CVE-2010-2049 which has received much media coverage over the past week. We have seen exploits of this vulnerability and consider it imperative that users apply this patch as soon as possible.
