Sophos Control Center version 4

Version 4 of the Sophos Control Center, the management tool for our range of Small Business Suites, is now available.

With version 4, you can create and manage the following security configurations on your networked computers (subject to your licence):

• Anti-Virus and HIPS
• Firewall
• Application Control
• Device Control

What's new

Sophos Control Center now has a slightly different look and feel and offers:

• new functionality
• improved performance
• improved reliability

Your endpoint computers will see two major changes:

• the separate Sophos Anti-Virus and Sophos Client Firewall icons are now replaced with one icon, which also includes Application Control and Device Control features, if you have configured them.
• This new product is called Endpoint Security and Control. Because it shares its name with our security product for larger networks, we want to reassure you that any document or article that you come across that mentions Endpoint Security and Control refers to software that's installed on the endpoint computers for your network too. However, a few features in Endpoint Security and Control are available only to users of Enterprise Console, our large network management tool. These include: Data Control, Role-Based Administration and the Update Manager.
