Using a separate network interface card (NIC) for updating and other communications between Enterprise Console and the endpoints
If the server running Enterprise Console is having trouble processing communications with your endpoints (for instance, messages are being dropped or taking a long time to reach the destination), you can install a second network interface card (NIC) to handle updating traffic.
You can do this in one of two ways:
- change your updating policies to use the new IP address.
- define a new server name in the updating policy that will resolve to the appropriate IP Address in a DNS lookup table.
