Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows: file exclusions for Microsoft SQL Server

Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows 2000+, can be installed on Microsoft SQL Server, but certain files and folders must not be scanned by either on-demand or on-access scanning.

What to do

Files and folders to exclude are listed in the Microsoft knowledgebase article on Anti-virus software guidelines

Sophos Anti-Virus should also be temporarily disabled during Exchange and Windows upgrades.
