Anti-virus and HIPS settings in Endpoint Security and Control 9.x
The Anti-Virus and HIPS settings in Endpoint Security and Control provide you with several types of protection:
- On-access scanning for malware, which protects you from attack by monitoring files and programs as they are accessed and blocking the ones that it suspects as being malicious
- Scheduled or immediate (on-demand) scanning for malware, which protects you from attack by examining the files on your computer and finding the malicious ones before they're accessed
Please note: some of these features are not available on Macs and Linux computers. Please see the Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac and Sophos Anti-Virus for Linux overview pages for more information about the features are available in those platforms.
