Advisory: Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac OS X - email alerts do not work on Mac OS X version 10.5.7

Issue
Email alerting on Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac OS X does not work on version 10.5.7 of the Mac OS X operating system. This version was released by Apple on 13 May 2009.

Threats will continue to be detected and reported by Enterprise Console as usual. However, alerts will not be sent to the email address for alerts that you specified in the Sophos Anti-Virus preferences.

Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac OS X versions 4 and 7.

What to do

If you want to continue to receive email alerts from Sophos Anti-Virus, you should not upgrade to Mac for OS X version 10.5.7 at this time.
