Advisory: Overview of the update of Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows 2000+ to version 7.6
Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows 2000+ , version 7.6 was released in September 2008.
It is an automatic update for Endpoint Security and Control customers and Small Business customers. It provides additional functionality, including:
- integrated Sophos Anti-Rootkit functionality
- Sophos web-content scanning
The upgrade will require a reboot. However, your Sophos protection will not be affected if you delay restarting your computers.
Please note, due to the added functionality, the update to the Endpoints will be larger than normal, possibly up to 30 Mb.
