Sophos Control Center: credentials to use when you protect computers
Issue
Which credentials (username and password) to use when protecting computers using the Sophos Control Center.
Sophos product and version
Sophos Control Center
What to do
The user account must be an account that has rights to install software on the client computers.
If you are in a domain, it is best to use an Active Directory account with access to install software (i.e. domain admin). Domain users need to be specified in the format of domain\username.
If you are not using a domain, you will need to specify a local account that is on every computer you are protecting.
