Advisory: Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows 2000+, the update to version 7.5 may need a reboot
Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows 2000+, version 7.5 has been released.
It will be an automatic update for Endpoint Security and Control customers, and will include new device control functionality.
- If you subscribe to the Endpoint Security and Control package, you will need to reboot your computers and servers if you want to use the new device control functionality. If you do NOT want this new functionality, you do not need to reboot.
- If you subscribe to the Sophos Anti-Virus only package, or if you have standalone computers, your version of Sophos Anti-Virus will remain at version 7.3.x until updated to version 7.6.0 later in 2008. You will not need to reboot your computers until you receive this update.
