Sophos NAC uses the local clock on the computer to determine date and time. If the local clock on the computer is behind the correct date and time, the computer could be detected as non-compliant when it is actually compliant. Also, if the local clock on the computer is ahead of the correct date and time, the computer could be detected as compliant, when it is actually non-compliant.
For all supported versions of Sophos Anti-virus, Sophos NAC detects when Sophos Auto Update runs and this value is used to determine whether or not the Signature Grace Period and Signature Date are compliant. Sophos Auto Update may not run successfully. In this scenario, the signature may not be current; however, the computer is considered compliant.
