Sophos Endpoint Security and Control: Symantec LiveUpdate on-screen messages appear when protecting computers with Sophos products
Issue
Computers with older versions of Symantec LiveUpdate may display the message 'are you sure you want to remove LiveUpdate?' before you can complete the Symantec removal and the installation of the Sophos products when using:
- the 'Protect computers' wizard with 'Remove third-party software' selected in Enterprise Console, version 3.1 and above,
- or the Sophos Endpoint Security and Control standalone installer with 'Remove third-party software' selected.

What to do
At each affected computer, select 'Yes' on the displayed message to allow the Sophos wizard to remove Symantec LiveUpdate and install the Sophos software.
Technical information
This problem occurs with older versions of Symantec LiveUpdate that do not support non-interactive removals.
