Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows 2000+: Device Manager reports incorrectly on the status of the device
Issue
When you change the Sophos device control policy, to block or re-enable a device, Windows Device Manager may not report correctly on the status of the device.
What to do
Do one of the following:
- Close down Windows Device Manager and then re-open it, it might then display the status correctly.
- To be certain of the status of the device, right -click on the device and select Properties
