Generic Potentially Unwanted Applications are the latest innovation by SophosLabs to detect zero-day threats before they can cause any damage on your network. This additional type of potentially unwanted application detection in Sophos Anti-Virus recognizes several behavior types that are common to Potentially Unwanted Applications (PUAs).
To deal with the alert
- Submit a sample to SophosLabs at http://www.sophos.com/support/samples/.
- When the file has been analyzed, SophosLabs will provide you with more information about what type of application you submitted and how to remove it if you do not want it on your network.
