Sophos Endpoint Security and Control: McAfee Framework Service is not removed from computers

Issue
After using:

• the 'Protect computers' wizard with 'Remove third-party software' selected in Enterprise Console
• or the Sophos Endpoint Security and Control standalone installer with 'Remove third-party software' selected

to remove McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.5, the McAfee Framework service is still shown in the Services list on your computers.

Sophos Endpoint Security and Control, version 8.0 and above
Sophos Enterprise Console, version 3.1 and above
Sophos Endpoint Security and Control Standalone Installer

Operating system
Windows 2000+

What to do

The McAfee Framework Service does not cause any problems with Sophos software and can safely remain on the machine. Should you wish to remove the service, please contact McAfee technical support.
