Sophos Diagnostic Utility (SDU): how to remove

The Sophos Diagnostic Utility (SDU) collects vital system information as well as log files for all Sophos products that are installed on the computer. The utility also collects suspicious file samples if there are any present.

Removing the Sophos Diagnostic Utility

The Sophos Diagnostic Utility should be removed from your system once your problem has been resolved by Sophos Technical Support.

  1. Go to Start|Settings|Control Panel|Add/Remove Programs.
  2. Select the 'Sophos Diagnostic Utility'.
  3. Click 'Remove'.
  4. You will be asked to confirm the removal. Select 'Yes'.
  5. You will be asked if you wish to remove the archives created by the Sophos Diagnostic Utility. Select 'No' if you wish to retain these or 'Yes' if you wish to remove them. The archive files can safely be removed.
