Sophos Anti-Virus: error message when extracting downloaded IDE files
Issue
If you download the latest virus identity files (IDEs) from http://www.sophos.com/downloads/ide/ as a self extracting .exe file, when you try to run it, the executable displays an 'Out of memory' error and will not run on Windows 2003 or Windows Vista.

What to do
Normally you should update IDEs automatically, by using EM Library and Enterprise Console.
However, if you do need to download IDE files directly, you must download the Zip file. This will work correctly on both Windows 2003 and Windows Vista.
