Technical Information
The location of the reported file is normally in the temporary internet files folder and usually has the suffix .doc, .xls or .pdf. The event error is triggered by the user trying to open this type of document via a web browser link. The scanner will not trigger these errors if the file is local.
This error can also be triggered if the scanner tries scanning a file on a mapped network drive.
This problem typically occurs when you are running Sophos Anti-Virus version 7.x with Enterprise Console version 2. This is because of the way version 2 of the console interprets errors from Sophos Anti-Virus version 7.x.. You may have first seen the error when the primary package was switching from Sophos Anti-Virus 6 to Sophos Anti-Virus 7.
