Advisory: Small Business Security Suite version 2.5 can now be upgraded with PureMessage version 3.0
PureMessage for Microsoft Exchange, version 3.0 has now been released for Small Business Security Suite, version 2.5.
What to do
You can now upgrade your Small Business Security Suite, version 2.5, so that it includes the latest version of PureMessage for Microsoft Exchange, version 3.0. However, if you prefer not to upgrade, Sophos continues to support PureMessage for Microsoft Exchange, version 2.6.
PureMessage for Microsoft Exchange, version 3.0, incorporates the following enhancements:
- Microsoft Exchange 2007 support
- New email security management dashboard
- Enhanced graphical management reports
- Use Active Directory users and groups within email content policy
- Scan for content within common office documents (Word, Excel, PDF etc.)
Before you upgrade, check the system requirements for PureMessage version 3.0, as these are higher than the requirements for version 2.6.
All existing customers of PureMessage for Windows/Exchange are entitled to receive the new version of PureMessage for Microsoft Exchange, under the terms of their current license and at no additional cost.
