Enterprise Console: 'Last Update from Sophos' displays incorrectly

Issue
In Enterprise Console, the 'Last update from Sophos' is shown incorrectly and all computers are reporting their 'Up-to-date' status as 'Unknown'.

Sophos product and version
Enterprise Console 3.0 and above

Operating system
Windows 2003 SP1

What to do

  1. Ensure that EM Library is working:
    • Open EM Library
    • Check the date for the last download of packages
    • Go to Central Installations, right-click on each CID (Central Installation Directory) and select 'Update CID, checksum all files'.
  2. Ensure that the correct Sophos services are running:
    • Go to Start|Run, type in services.msc and press enter
    • Browse down to Sophos:
      • Start the 'Sophos Agent' service
      • Start the 'Sophos EMLibUpdate Agent' service
  3. The Enterprise Console should now display the correct date for the last update and the client computers will start to report as up-to-date.
