Enterprise Console: why haven't my computers upgraded?
Despite upgrading to Enterprise Console version 3 or above, your computers running Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows 2000+ have not upgraded to version 7 or above.
What to do
There are a number of possible causes. Check all of the following:
1. Checking in EM Library
- Open EM Library using one of these methods:
- In Sophos Enterprise Console, on the toolbar, click 'Libraries'.
- Select Start|Programs|Sophos|EM Library|Sophos EM Library Console.
- In the EM Library console right hand pane, check the Parent website. It should be one of:
- In the left hand pane, double-click your server, then double-click 'Packages'.
- Select 'Subscribed'.
- Check that you are subscribed to the latest packages. If you are not:
- Select 'Unsubscribed'.
- Right-click the package you want.
- Select 'Subscribe'.
- When prompted to create a central installation directory (CID), select 'Yes' and follow through the wizard.
- Check that you are subscribed to the 'Latest (SAV + IDEs)' version. If you are not, subscribe to the correct one, as described above.
2. Checking in Enterprise Console
- Open Enterprise Console.
- In the Enterprise Console 'Policies' pane, right-click your Updating policy.
- Select 'View/Edit policy'.
- Select 'Windows 2000 and later', and click 'Configure'.
- From the 'Address' dropdown list, select
- \\<server>\InterChk\SAVSCFXP if you use Sophos Client Firewall
- \\<server>\InterChk\SAVXP if you do not use Sophos Client Firewall
- Click 'OK'.
- Click 'Close' to save your Updating policy.
- After your computers have updated, ensure that they comply with the Updating policy:
- In the Enterprise Console 'Groups' pane, right-click your group.
- Select 'Comply with'
- Select 'Group updating policy'.
