Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows NT/95/98/Me: cannot downgrade standalone installation from version 4.7 to 4.6
You cannot downgrade from standalone version 4.7 to standalone version 4.6 with Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows NT and Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows 95/98/Me.
If you must downgrade you will need to reinstall.
What to do
- Uninstall Sophos Anti-Virus version 4.6.
- Install version 4.7 as described in the Sophos Anti-Virus standalone startup guide.
Technical details
A downgrade apparently takes place without error. However, Sophos AutoUpdate loses all configuration information, including the Primary server address and your credentials.
