PureMessage for Windows/Exchange: error 1603 displayed during installation
During the installation or upgrade of PureMessage for Windows Exchange, version 2.6.1, you see the following error message:
Error 1603
Fatal error during installation
Please consult Windows installer help for further information
What to do
- Open Windows Services.
- Stop the 'Microsoft Exchange Information Store' service.
- Run the installation/upgrade of PureMessage for Windows/Exchange, again.
Note: this error may also be seen in conjunction with the error:
Error initialising quarantine database.
