Sophos Mobile Security: detection of EICAR
Sophos Mobile Security only detects EICAR during an on-demand scan. EICAR is not detected by Sophos Mobile Security on-access scanning.
What to do
To test that Sophos Mobile Security is working, do as follows.
- Place a copy of EICAR on your mobile device. (You can make one using SAVTST32.)
- Select Start|Sophos Mobile Security.
- Tap 'Scans'.
- Tap 'Start'.
EICAR should be detected by this on-demand scan.
