Error 00000067 on installation

During installation of Sophos Anti-Virus, the error code

00000067

is displayed in Enterprise Console. There may also be an error message, similar to

Failed to install [...]; Setup has timed out

This is a generic error forwarded by the installer.

What to do

1. This error can be displayed temporarily during installation if communications on your network are slow. Wait a few minutes. The problem may correct itself.
2. Check log files and workstation computer screens for other error codes, then search the Sophos knowledgebase for those error codes. Follow the advice given for those messages.
3. If you cannot resolve it in this way, uninstall and reinstall Sophos Anti-Virus on the affected computer.
